No One Hurt in Orchard/Clark Street Fire

Fire is an unexpected but constant threat  and apartment occupants today at Clark and Orchard on the Bench experienced a horrible fire, fueled by the plastic composition of hot tubs or spas and pallets.  One woman on oxygen was removed from her apartment by two workers from a nearby tire store, who promptly went door to door to advise them of the danger.  Below you can see a plume of black smoke that could be seen a mile away.  The next picture shows what is …

Like many of you, my family members served in World War II. My dad was an Army Sergeant; at 49 my grandfather (of German descent) left his business in his partners hands to join the Army to help plan the war in Washington; cousins interrupted their lives and served. They were fighting evil: The Nazis. BILL TO EXEMPT SNOW REMOVAL FAILS

Good news and “Thank You”.  House Bill 251 which eliminated snow removal from a definition of maintenance in State Law regarding required ACHD responsibilities is no longer viable. We need to work together to resolve the Boise City/Ada County dispute.  It passed out of committee to be amended, but the bill fizzled as resistance increased.  Your emails were a big help.  Pictured are streets (yes there are two there in the Camas/Cole Road area that weren’t plowed until about January 10.
