My bill to raise jury pay with state funding from the insulting $10 a day to $50 a day for lengthy jury trials passed this session. People compelled to serve by law should at least receive minimum wage and after several tries: progress. Now it is up to the County to find money to increase pay for others who serve. They deserve it. (I am posting this because someone wants me to take a break from the medicaid initiative – which BTW needs volunteers in District 10 on Saturday!)
